Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Hons.) in Manufacturing (Automotive) program offers a new dimension of multi-disciplinary courses profiling from manufacturing, automotive engineering, engineering design, and management. As Malaysian is being automotive hub in the region, in addition to manufacturing growth others automotive activities such as designs and developments continue to grow and so the demand of qualified engineers within the region. This program will provide graduates with multi engineering knowledge and skill to fit perfectly for the much-needed automotive assemblers, part and component makers, and other supporting industries and related manufacturers. The program will prepare graduates with technical and managerial skills necessary to enter careers in design, manufacturing, operation, and maintenance in the field of automotive engineering technology. 

 

Career Path

Manufacturing jobs cover nearly everything involved in developing a product, from selecting the appropriate materials to choosing the correct machinery to manufacture the product. Most manufacturing engineers work for equipment manufacturers, aerospace companies, utilities, material processing plants, transportation companies, and petroleum companies. They also work with small firms, consulting practices, universities, and government research labs. Specific assignments might involve research and development, design of equipment or systems, supervision of production, plant engineering, administration, sales engineering, the testing and evaluation of machines and entire plants.

  2. Identify,formulate, research literature, modelling, simulate and solve broadly-defined engineering problems using appropriate tools related to mechatronics and automotive engineering technology..
  3. Design solutions for broadly-defined engineering technology problems and contribute to the design of systems, components or process to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental considerations..
